The Japan-Singapore Fast Track Pitch 2024, organized by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry alongside JETRO.

In a vibrant move to catalyze innovation, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan, alongside the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), is set to host the second "Japan-Singapore Fast Track Pitch." Scheduled for Singapore, this initiative aims to accelerate open innovation and co-creation among startups from Japan and global companies from Singapore and beyond.

Launching on April 17, 2024, the event seeks to build on the success of previous engagements which marked the 50th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN friendship. The collaborative framework will host pitch sessions where businesses will present solutions to challenges set by leading companies. This exchange is not only a competition but a crucible for forging new partnerships across the ASEAN region and worldwide.

In anticipation, a launch event on April 26 will set the stage, detailing the challenges, and facilitating networking among startups, investors, and government representatives. Finalists from this pool will have the opportunity to present at the main pitch event on July 19, where they will vie for potential collaboration and funding opportunities.

This year’s initiative expands to actively involve SMEs, broadening the scope for innovation and partnership, thus reinforcing the bilateral ties through shared economic and technological growth between Japan and Singapore.
