Mitsubishi Estate Launches Accelerator Program with Alchemist Accelerator

Mitsubishi Estate announced on May 14 that it is partnering with Silicon Valley-based Alchemist Accelerator to launch "Alchemist Japan," an acceleration program for Japanese startups. The program will focus on B2B startups in the seed stage and will be based at the Global Business Hub Tokyo in Chiyoda, Tokyo, starting in the fall of 2024.

This will be the first time Alchemist's equity-based program is extended to Asia. Mitsubishi Estate aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the Marunouchi area by creating hubs for growth and innovation.

Target: Seed-stage B2B startups in Japan

Location: Global Business Hub Tokyo, Chiyoda, Tokyo

Program Start: Fall 2024

Global Participation: Startups will also have the opportunity to join programs in San Francisco

Investment: Approximately $100,000 per company from the Alchemist Accelerator Fund

Application Period: June 1 to July 15, 2024

Number of Startups: 9 to 12 startups

Program Duration: About three months, concluding with a demo day in December 2024
