First-Ever "WE AT CHALLENGE" to Support Well-Being Economy Startups and Projects

WE AT is dedicated to building the foundation for a well-being economy by accumulating economic capital, natural capital, human capital, and social capital, in line with the OECD's well-being framework. To support startups, companies, and research institutions contributing to these areas, WE AT is launching its first pitch contest, "WE AT CHALLENGE." The final selection event will be held on November 27, 2024, at TIB in Yurakucho, Tokyo.

Entry for WE AT CHALLENGE

WE AT CHALLENGE will cover various fields under the concept of well-being and will include multiple tracks. Currently, three entry tracks are planned, inviting startups, students, and corporate intrapreneurs to participate. Detailed information about the event will be announced at the end of June 2024.

Tracks for WE AT CHALLENGE

Track #1: Liveability

The rapid loss of biodiversity and severe global warming threaten the foundation of human survival. Energy issues, agriculture, and food production also contribute to these threats. WE AT seeks low-carbon solutions based on advanced technologies such as carbon capture, utilization, and storage, clean energy processes, biotechnology, and advanced materials to create a more liveable environment through rapid decarbonization.

Track #2: Healthy Life

The foundation of human well-being is lifelong health. Recent advancements in life sciences have led to deep tech innovations that can treat aging and promote healthy longevity. WE AT encourages proposals for healthcare projects that combine life sciences and digital technologies.

Track #3: Living & City

People shape their lives by receiving education, forming families, meeting others, and working in cities and communities. Smart cities that aim to improve the well-being of their inhabitants are in demand. WE AT promotes business proposals that leverage safe digital technologies and complementary technologies to enhance urban living.
